How to fix throttle/throttle cable that doesn't return

Hello!

I'm in dire need of fixing an issue with my throttle / throttle cable on my project motorcycle - when I twist the throttle, it does not fully return nack to its original position (see video below). Is there a secret to fixing this? I don't know much about throttle cables etc. Maybe there is an easy solution. Any help is good help!

Check I'f the return spring is faulty, or your tension on the cables isnt set correctly. Could also be worn out canles that need replacing

Cables could be way out of adjustment. I would start there, by a simple adjustment you can look up on youtube. Or the Throttle tube could be binding in the housing, not as likely.. do you have a thumbscrew under the throttle for CC? Check it. Is the throttle sticky/ smooth? Is the return intermittent? If its intermittent, the problem is in the housing/ throttle tube. If not, your cables need to be adjusted, or springs replaced on the body. Also check the routing of those cables, they dont like sharp bends. Anything less than a 2" bend radius on those cables could cause faster wear and binding. They need to be oiled as well. All of this could take about 30 minutes to check and fix. Be easy on the barrel nut adjusters on those cables too.

You could check if you super glued the throttle tube to the bar while installing heated grips...wait that was me
